Esports (Working with SideFest)

What is it? A fully resourced subject masterclass, where students will be analysing the algorithms/ patterns behind an Esports game to accurately predict next moves. This mathematics focused workshop will take place in a computer room and last 2 hours. Students will also learn about careers and qualifications related to the gaming and data science industry.

This workshop is based around a Teen age appropriate game, called Nerf Legends. Students will not be playing the game, but they will understand how the game functions so they can analyse the data dashboard behind it.

When? Ready to be booked in and delivered in schools with at least 2 weeks’ notice. This is a 2-hour masterclass.

Where? In a computer room in a school or college classroom, or suitable community space

Who is it for? Up to 30 Year 9, 10, or 11 students who are interested in IT/ Data Science/ Computer Science/ Gaming/ Graphic Design or equivalents
