On 16th June – The LLEP will be holding a Meet and Greet Event at Athena in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter. The event will showcase over 40 fantastic fashion and textiles businesses that collectively form a vibrant manufacturing hub for the region.

The event has two main focuses: Education and Trade.

In terms of education the event is open to local schools, where there will be informal sessions on the garment making process and production along with skills and careers in the fashion industry. These sessions will be from 10.30am via pre-booked appointments (30 mins).

The trade show will start at 10am-4pm and this is open to retailers, e-tailers, start-ups, brands, sourcing teams, buyers, designers and anyone who would like to explore the opportunity of Leicester made textiles and garments. There will be over 40 businesses to review and a fashion show will be held at 3pm.

The evening event will then run from 7-10pm with a second fashion show at 7.30pm produced by Mode Collective. This will be followed by drinks and nibbles and the opportunity to network and celebrate Leicester’s dynamic textiles industry.
