BAME Parents and Guardians Day

The following information has been taken from the Loughborough University website and can be found here.

We are excited to launch a new BAME Parent Workshop to upskill BAME parents. This workshop has been designed to help Black Asian and Ethnic Minority parents and guardians with the information they need on academia and how they can support young adults in their journey to university.

We will cover topics such as:

• Guidance on completing a UCAS application
• What to expect from an Open Day
• The importance of visiting universities prior to application

We will also cover how the University supports BAME students including, careers pathways and student support, such as our Future Black and Asian Talent programmes.

After that session, I am thinking about University. I wasn’t before. I’m more confident now.
