Pathways brings together the University of Leicester, Loughborough University, and De Montfort University, as well as Leicester College, and Loughborough College, with the aim of supporting more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to reach their full potential through Higher Education.
Our Offer
For a couple of years Pathways has been working with schools collaboratively and we have been offering a variety of resources, workshops and events for pupils from years 9 to 13. Since August 2021 we have introduced a strategic outreach strand to our work where we are specifically working with underrepresented groups from ages 11 and upwards in the local community and looking to support them to make informed decisions about their futures.
Here is an example of who we are working with within our strategic work:
- Unaccompanied asylum seeking children and young people
- Looked after children
- Students with disabilities
- People from disadvantaged communities
- Young adult carers, young carers and care experienced young people
