Careers Advice, Leicestershire
The careers support that young people experience in school should prepare them for lives and careers where they will have to navigate a complex and challenging landscape of education, training and employment.
Ofsted is placing more prominence on inspecting and reporting on Careers Education,Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) in schools. Inspectors are looking for evidence that shows that students are provided with high quality, impartial career guidance to enable them to make informed choices about their next steps.
For schools in Leicester and Leicestershire we are able to offer a package of CEIAG support that can include:
- Independent and impartial one to one guidance interviews* with a level 7 qualified and CDI registered career guidance practitioner;
- Group intervention/s that can be tailored to meet the needs of your students;
- CPD session/s to help school staff understand the role that they can play in disseminating good practice and provide strategies for embedding CEIAG into the curriculum;
- Consultancy for schools wishing to achieve a national Quality Award in CEIAG.
